Abstract

|
The presence of more than one accessory pathway in a patient has been reported. During orthodromic reentrant tachycardia, the atrioventricular (AV) node functions as the anterograde limb of the circuit. In antidromic reentrant tachycardia the accessory pathway functions as the anterograde and the AV node as the retrograde limb of the circuit. Dual accessory pathway tachycardia uses one accessory pathway as the anterograde and another accessory pathway as the retrograde limb. Our patient had three accessory pathways. Two orthodromic and one dual accessory pathway tachycardias were observed, and all of them were successfully treated.
